In today’s era of
rapid information spreading we need to devote time to analysis of information.
Otherwise, a man becomes only a consumer, becoming a part of information
consumers’ society, which has direct dependence only on the flow of
information, without having an analysis of the quality of the information. This
create an imitation of going with the time “being relevant”
Information becomes a drug for filling up the human brain, satisfying him only on instinct level. The time and the space seem to disappear in this case, the ties break both with the past (heritage) and with the future expectations. Memory becomes short.
The discussion of “relevant” and “contemporary” topics in the art is looking sharply. The “relevance” of the topics is measured by frequency of facing the issues affecting daily life. Local and international (global) scandalous events penetrate to the world of art as well. The artist may stay in one place and refer to things happening in another corner of the world, considering those issues as important as the ones taking place in his local reality.
Searching information in the internet becomes word play. The internet continues the word or sentences defining its own program rules during the process of human learning (exploration) of the world.
Pictures, images, photos, videos, graphics and everything that can be seen with the eye, have moved to the Internet and continue to rapidly expand contributing to the main engine of globalization - the virtual world of power and its influence.
A lot of contemporary works of art are created using the information flow from internet. The topics are taken from internet, creating vicious circle, bringing new context and becoming a part of information exchange chain
All of this this brings up new questions for a person already looking for many answers. Questions might be rhetorical or might exist in the past, but in present the question formulations has changed or another side of the questions as arisen. However, the core of the question remained the same. The majority of the questions have unexpected answers, the latter’s composing the part of a cause-effect chain bringing up a series of new questions.
