If I were to suggest that between the Earth and Mars there is a china teapot revolving about the sun in an elliptical orbit, nobody would be able to disprove my assertion provided I were careful to add that the teapot is too small to be revealed even by our most powerful telescopes.

How do we envision life? What do we see beyond political, psychological and domestic issues? Is the reality confined by what we try to believe and accept as it is?

MananTorosyan proposes to use her creations to relocate to a different, perhaps cosmic reality, and see more.

By reproducing and transforming industrial and plastic forms in her unique way, it appears that the artist is liberating the body from the prison of reason, leaving only imagination, as the only precondition for survival; and the risk of seceding from reality, emancipation.

As stated by the artist her “Before the Explosion” audio installation, is the prior quiet state, where there is no contradiction.

By appearing in the artificial universe created by the artist, one is left only with imagining the big explosion, and seeing its shrapnels in artist’s other works.
